The Green Deal Home Improvement Fund (GDHIF) was a cashback scheme that ran earlier this year, which allowed all households to claim up to £7600 to install a range of energy efficiency measures, including both Internal Wall Insulation and External Wall Insulation.

Unfortunately, the scheme was based on vouchers, which had a very strong uptake and the funding was all ‘allocated’ within around 6 weeks. However, many of the voucher applicants did not proceed to the installation stage and so weren’t able to claim the cashback that was allocated to them – so the Green Deal Home Improvement Fund is now coming back.

The Government have said they will allocate £100m total in funding this time around. Full details of the scheme are yet to be released, but we will keep you fully updated via this website.
